Information AJ Trinkets collects
When you place an order or contact the business, AJ Trinkets may collect your name, email address, delivery details, order information, and any personalisation details you submit.
How information is used
Your information is used to process orders, provide updates, respond to support questions, prevent misuse, and improve the storefront experience. Personalisation text is used only to fulfil the order you requested.
Payments
Payment details are processed by AJ Trinkets payment partners and are not stored directly in the storefront database beyond the order records needed to fulfil and support purchases.
Communications
AJ Trinkets may send essential order emails such as confirmations, dispatch updates, and issue-resolution messages. Marketing communication should only be sent where you have chosen to receive it.
Data sharing
Information may be shared with service providers only where needed to run the business, such as payment processing, shipping, hosting, fraud prevention, or email delivery.
Retention and access
Order and support records may be kept for accounting, service, and legal reasons. If you need a data-related request handled, contact AJ Trinkets using the support details listed on the site.

Analytics, cookies and similar technologies
AJ Trinkets runs its own analytics on its own servers. It does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics tools, and analytics data is never sold or shared for marketing.
What is recorded
- The pages you visit and the products you view
- Basket activity (items added or removed) and checkout steps reached
- Words typed into the shop search, and how many results they returned. Gift concierge descriptions are not stored.
- The website or campaign that sent you to us, your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and, where available, your country
Your IP address is used only to deliver the page and limit abuse. It is not saved with analytics data. Staff signed in to the shop admin are excluded.
Your choice
If you allow analytics, we store a random ID in your browser's local storage (ajt_vid, plus a session ID ajt_sid that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity). This lets us count unique visitors and see where people leave the checkout. We rely on your consent for this, and you can withdraw it at any time.
If you decline or ignore the banner, nothing is stored on your device for analytics. We still count page views and shop actions anonymously, with no ID that links them together or back to you. We do this under our legitimate interest in knowing which pages and products are popular. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as declining and record nothing.
Your choice itself is saved in local storage (ajt_consent) so we do not ask again. Your basket is also kept in local storage (ajtrinkets-cart) so it is still there when you return. Both are strictly necessary for the site to work.
How long it is kept
Analytics events are deleted automatically after about 13 months. Order records are kept separately for accounting and legal reasons, as described above.
